It has been a long-held tradition in some churches to use a common, or shared, cup as a standard communion cup. Symbolically, a common cup represents the one body each church member is a part of under God. Churches who use a shared communion cup rather than individual communion cups might be hesitant to make the change to individual communion cups such as Prefilled Communion Cup with Wafers, Crystal Clear Communion Glasses, and Walker Dual Compartment Reusable Communion Cups even though there are benefits to using individual communion cups. However, even if a church is set on using a common cup, practical applications of individual communion cups should not be ignored.
